Some people will never change.
It's not that they don't want to change. Many are stuck in a cycle that they can't get out of.
People stay the same for a variety of reasons:

C. They don't know how.
D. They are paralyzed or running from Fear.
People who don't have the resources to change are often stuck in survival mode. Some of these people are in underprivileged positions of systematic, racial, and social trauma that keep them from making lasting changes. This is a significant reason that many people stay in destructive health-sabotaging patterns.
My heart goes out to those people.
For the rest of us, we must be willing to look deep and face our fears to create change.

When I was obsessing about my body/food, I didn't want to let go of my insanity. Although I said I'd like to feel better. I was afraid of gaining weight. Honestly, I didn't want to be a ‘fat fitness instructor’, I didn’t want to let go of my behaviours entirely and that’s partly why I turned to alcohol; somehow drinking calories was okay but eating them was a challenge!
I had to go into deep despair before I was willing to surrender to a different way.
Although extremely uncomfortable, these ‘Dark Nights of the Soul’ were the catalyst to step out of my victimhood and into empowerment.
On top of it, I had NO idea how to successfully make lasting changes.
I needed help, someone to guide me through those moments of stepping into the unknown.

I found myself in a pattern of stepping into change and then stepping back into my dysfunctional patterns in another area of my life.
In hindsight, I realised that was part of my process, and it helped me to create my B.L.A.S.T. method based on science and principles that brings together all the pieces needed to fully shift, heal, change and grow.
